Abstract: In this talk, I will drive you through how the growing datafication of education is reshaping our understanding of learning in digital environments. Drawing on insights from learning analytics and artificial intelligence, I will demonstrate how diverse data sources can be leveraged to enhance learning practices. Examples will highlight how data enables personalized feedback, student engagement monitoring, and improved learning outcomes. At the same time, I will address key challenges related to data privacy and protection, as well as the risks of oversimplifying education by reducing it to data points.
