OXALIC is an Open edX Advanced Learning Analytics tool developed at the Centre for the Science of Learning & Technology (SLATE).
OXALIC provides a teacher dashboard and insights into student activity in Open edX MOOCs.
Since its emergence in 2011, the field of Learning Analytics has demanded tools that deal with the exhausts of digital learning systems. OXALIC is a prototype that has been developed as an attempt to introduce a standalone Learning Analytics tool for the Open edX MOOC platform. OXALIC has been used at OsloMet.
Senior Researcher at SLATE, Mohammad Khalil, and Senior Engineer, Gleb Belokrys, are currently continuing the development of OXALIC. They foresee promising results for future directions of OXALIC as a solid contribution to Learning Analytics in MOOCs.
