We are delighted to inform that Hanna Birkeland’s research poster has been accepted at the LAK conference taking place in March. Birkeland is a master's student in Information Science at the University of Bergen. Her master thesis, supervised by SLATE’ Director Prof. Barbara Wasson and Senior Researcher Mohammad Khalil, concerns “Understanding Collaboration in Virtual Labs through Learning Analytics”.

Tittel: Using Learning Analytics to Understand Collaboration in Virtual Labs

Abstract:  With the increase in online education arises the challenge of replicating physical laboratories and teamwork in the virtual space. My poster briefly presents our results of a scoping review of the current research in learning analytics and collaboration in online laboratory environments. A knowledge gap in the current research where there is a lack of research has been identified, implying that further research within this area is needed.
