Digitrans kortrapport: Studentenes opplevelse av studiesituasjonen etter nedstengingen av UiB grunnet COVID-19

On March 12, 2020 a national lockdown was announced in Norway to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. The University of Bergen (UiB) responded by moving all teaching and learning online, basically overnight. The DigiTrans project is studying this digital transformation from several perspectives. This report falls under Theme B: Adaptation to Online Teaching & Learning.

This short report (in Norwegian) presents preliminary findings from a student survey on how the move online affected their teaching and study situation.  4064 students, representing all faculties, participated in the survey. The report highlights that many students have been struggling with the lack of social contact with peers and teachers, loneliness, and difficulties studying from home. Nevertheless, although the situation has been difficult for the students, the majority are satisfied with the way that UiB has facilitated digital teaching after lockdown. In addition to answering specific questions (presented in this report), the students had much to tell us about their experiences, and these findings will be presented later in the main report.
