SLATE PhD candidates, Joakim Vindenes and Rosaline Barendregt, present at the Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) workshop

December 14, 2021

Organized, among others by SLATE, the Human-Computer Interaction workshop gathered industry representatives and over 20 of PhD candidates in the field of the HCI from Norway and abroad.

SLATE PhD candidates, Joakim Vindenes and Rosaline Barendregt, were invited to present their doctoral projects. In their PhD studies, Vindenes focuses on the postphenomenology of Virtual Reality, while Barendregt researches on NOW Interactions, a mobile communication technique that aims to persuade people to provide bits of information in a smooth and timely manner.

"It was really nice to meet other PhD candidates within mine field of research! There was a good mix of national and international PhD fellows at different stages in their doctoral programmes. The workshop provided a great opportunity to network, find out what research people are conducting, and to learn from each other", says Vindenes.
