The new SLATE research project Accelerating Privacy and Data Protection Measures Using Synthetic Data Generation (ASPIRE) has received 5 million NOK from Equinor.
The ASPIRE project is dedicated to improving privacy and data protection through advanced technologies. By leveraging Artificial Intelligence and synthetic data, the project aims to develop innovative and trustworthy methods for sharing and analyzing data without compromising the privacy of individuals. ASPIRE aims to contribute to creating new methods for data exchange and analysis with potential work areas within the fields of education and healthcare.
The ASPIRE project starts in January 2025, will last for 4 years, and will include a new PhD position.
The project leader is Mohammad Khalil, Senior Researcher at SLATE. Qinyi Liu, PhD Candidate at SLATE, will also have a role in the project.
The project is funded through the agreement called “Akademiaavtalen”, a collaboration between the international energy company Equinor and several Norwegian universities and colleges.
