Tormod Smedstad, the editor of the important Norwegian journal, Skolelederen (“school leaders”) has published an interview with SLATE Director, Barbara Wasson.
The article clearly presents the research centre, its mandate from the Ministry of Education and Research, and its goals and research focus areas.
In addition, Smedstad and Wasson clarify some of the concepts and terminology used at SLATE, including Learning Analytics and Big Data. It provides an excellent overview of SLATE in Norwegian. Read more.
